About B.Tech EE

B.Tech. Electrical Engineering is a four-year undergraduate engineering program that focuses on the study, design, development, and maintenance of electrical systems, power generation, transmission, and distribution. It is one of the core engineering disciplines and plays a vital role in industries such as power, energy, manufacturing, automation, transportation, telecommunications, and renewable energy. The program combines theoretical concepts with practical training to help students understand electrical circuits, electrical machines, control systems, power electronics, digital electronics, and power system engineering. In line with the AICTE Model Curriculum, students also gain exposure to modern technologies such as smart grid systems, electric vehicles (EV), renewable energy, industrial automation, Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, and energy management systems. Graduates of B.Tech. electrical engineering can pursue rewarding careers in power generation companies, electrical manufacturing industries, government organizations, automation firms, railways, renewable energy companies, and research institutions.

Eligibility Criteria

Must have passed 10+2 with PCM or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
A minimum aggregate of 45%–60% marks in the qualifying examination is generally required.
Admission is offered through JEE Main, state-level engineering entrance examinations, university entrance tests, or merit-based selection, depending on the institution.
